All my work is based on places visited, using my location sketches and photographs as source material.

The effects of light and water are of particular interest to me.

For my figure drawing I use a variety of media, including pencils
charcoal chalk, ink, watercolour and acrylics.

I usually favour short poses and the challenge of capturing the moment.

People seem to enjoy looking at my working sketchbooks.

My sketches are the backbone of my work. They can be ideas for finished pictures, or just drawing practice.
